About This Game
Why a stacking game
Space Tower started from the simplest idea: tap at the right moment and stack. The rules take ten seconds to learn. But stacking things of different shapes and weights as high as you can turns out to be deep. Do you put the long thing on the round thing, or lay the flat thing down first? When it collapses, where do you start again? Every decision is different, and every tower comes out different.
Because a real physics engine does the rolling and the slipping, that moment of "oh no, it's going" makes your palms sweat. That is the feeling we care about most.
Why the real scale of space
The tower's height is shown in kilometers, and the Moon is 380,000 km away. That is the real distance from Earth to the Moon. Mars is 230 million km; Neptune is 4.3 billion km.
As a game, plain numbers would have been fine. But we thought that feeling "I'm just short of the Moon" or "the next star is that far" at true distances would make it feel like a journey. At each stop, Nono shares a bit of space trivia and Bibi writes a short line in the travel diary. You learn a little about space while you play.
Nono and Bibi
Nono, a traveler in a yellow hood, and Bibi, a white cat. They left Earth and are heading for whatever lies beyond the stars. Where they are going, and why, is revealed little by little as you play. We will not spoil it here.
What you stack: the civilizations and creatures of Earth
The falling items are apples, bread, dogs, penguins, a Ferris wheel, a T. rex, Tokyo Tower: things from Earth. A tower reaching for space, built out of pieces of Earth. That is the picture we wanted, so every item is something from our planet. There are more than 96, and the list keeps growing.
How it is made
This game is planned, built, and run by one person in Ota, Tokyo. Much of the code is written together with AI; the design decisions, testing on real devices, and the calls about what to fix and what to keep are made by a human. The things we got stuck on along the way, and how we got out, are in the dev log.
Since launch in August 2026 it has been updated almost every week. When players tell us something, or we notice something ourselves, we try to get it into the game quickly. The full update history is on the changelog page.
Titles in development
Two more games are in the works at vivivi.games: a digital gamebook where your choices change the story, "Land of Black Winds," and a card-combination dungeon crawler, "Tower Dungeon." Both have intro pages.
